The Golden Mother and the Sacred Union

Born from a vision of temples, The Golden Mother and the Sacred Union is an emerging collaborative singing book exploring sacred femininity, motherhood and a life lived in harmony with nature.

The Golden Mother and the Sacred Union

The Golden Mother and the Sacred Union is a profound and inspiring work inviting to discover the deeper meaning of the sacred feminine, motherhood and a life in harmony with the natural world.

The book weaves together a woman's journey from the very beginning of life — conception and birth — through motherhood and into the years of wisdom, placing each stage within the greater harmony of nature. It explores how the natural rhythms of a woman's life are reflected in cultural heritage, ancestral wisdom and contemporary society.

Collective Creation: Shared Strength and Inspiration

The book is being brought to life through community collaboration, bringing together mothers, women, educators, artists, researchers and keepers of ancestral wisdom.

Rather than presenting the perspective of a single author, it is envisioned as a shared creation in which every page reflects collective experience, knowledge and insight. Its content draws inspiration from open conversations, workshops, musical gatherings and creative challenges where people share their knowledge, practical experiences and personal stories.

Each chapter offers an opportunity to explore moments along the universal yet deeply personal journey of womanhood — from birth to death, and beyond, into rebirth.

The ideas and stories emerge through dialogue, listening to the voices of the community and bringing forward the experiences of those devoted to love, care and sustainability.

The Sacred Woman's Journey and the Significance of the 40 Sacred Days

In the eleventh century, Adam of Bremen made one of the early written references to our land and its people, the Aesti. His writings also described the mysterious Terra Feminarum — a land associated with profound reverence for women, where the land was said to be ruled by female beings who spoke the language of birds.

The Golden Mother and the Sacred Union seeks to bring this vision to life through the archetype of the Sacred Woman — an embodiment of love, life and harmony.

Particular attention is given to the 40 sacred days following childbirth: a time for mother and child to recover, bond deeply with one another and establish their connection with the world.

The book explores how this ancient practice, honoured by our ancestors, might find renewed meaning in contemporary life, offering support to mothers and strengthening the well-being of entire communities.

3. Ancestral Wisdom

Traditional rituals, songs, incantations and stories form a recurring thread throughout the book, expressing deep reverence for Mother Nature and recognising the special role of women as guardians of life and the natural world.

4. Sustainability and the Cycles of Life

The book explores sustainability as a foundation for the continued flourishing of both our planet and human society, inviting readers into a deeper relationship with nature and the cycles of life.

A Collective Creation and an Inspiring Movement

The book is part of #40SacredDays, a movement for mental well-being and environmental care centred on nurturing inner well-being, protecting nature and honouring the significance of motherhood.

Readers are invited to become part of this movement, share their stories and discover their place within a larger collective vision.

The Golden Mother and the Sacred Union is more than a book. It is envisioned as a global, community-led act of creation that connects generations and cultures, inspiring us to walk together on a path of love, wisdom and harmony.
